All documents, scans, images, and files you create or manage using DoX are stored exclusively on your device's local storage. We have no access to this content. DoX does not require user registration, account creation, or any form of personal information to operate its core features.
b) Voluntarily Submitted Information
When you contact us through our Support, Bug Report, or Feedback forms (powered by Zoho Forms), we may collect:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Device information (device model, OS version)
- App version
- Message content and any attachments you provide
This information is collected solely to respond to your inquiries, improve our services, and address technical issues.
2. Offline Functionality
DoX is engineered to operate entirely offline. All core functionalities—including document scanning, PDF creation, file compression, and document management—function without an internet connection. Your data remains on your device at all times.
Internet connectivity is only required for:
- Displaying advertisements
- Submitting support requests, bug reports, or feedback
3. Device Permissions
To provide its services, DoX requires the following device permissions:
Camera Permission
Required for document scanning functionality. Camera data is processed locally and never transmitted externally.
Storage Permission
Required to save, access, and manage your documents on your device's storage.
Internet Permission
Required for displaying advertisements and submitting forms. Core app functionality works without internet.
These permissions are used solely to enable app functionality and are not used for unauthorized data collection or tracking purposes.
4. Third-Party Services
DoX integrates the following third-party services:
a) Google AdMob
DoX displays advertisements through Google AdMob to support free access to the application. AdMob may collect certain device information and usage data in accordance with Google's privacy practices, including:
- Device identifiers
- IP address
- Usage data and interaction with ads
b) Zoho Forms
We use Zoho Forms to collect support requests, bug reports, and feedback. When you submit a form, the information you provide is processed and stored by Zoho in accordance with their privacy policy.

For Locally Stored Data:
Security depends on your device's security measures. We recommend enabling device lock features (PIN, password, biometric authentication) and utilizing our built-in Vault feature for additional protection of sensitive documents.
For Submitted Form Data:
Zoho Forms uses industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect data in transit and at rest. However, no method of transmission over the Internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
7. Data Retention
- Local Data: Retained on your device until you delete it or uninstall the app.
- Form Submissions: Retained for up to 2 years or until the purpose for collection has been fulfilled, whichever comes first.
- Ad-related Data: Managed by Google AdMob according to their retention policies.
8. Children's Privacy
DoX is not intended for use by children under the age of 13 (or the applicable age of digital consent in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent or guardian and believe your child has provided information through the App, please contact us immediately at doxofficial@duck.com, and we will take steps to delete such information.
